HAZWOPER 40 Hour safety training is required for employees working on a project that includes of Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Operation mandated by Government.COURSE DISCRIPTION:
HAZWOPER 40 hour course is specifically designed for the workers involved in voluntary clean-up operations, clean-up operations, storage, disposal or the treatment of hazardous substances or hazardous waste sites. The topics of the course are included in 29 CFR 1910.120. Topics include elimination of hazardous chemicals, protection against the hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and also the environment and regulations of OSHA.Seat Time: This HAZWOPER course has been accepted for 40 hours.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Understand OSHA and its role in regulating occupational safety
- Familiarize with materials, compounds and mixtures that may contain flammable, explosive, chemical or radiological hazards
- Site characterization to eliminate work hazards
- Encourage the use of Material Safety Data Sheets ( MSDS)
- Indentify existence of hazardous materials in the workplace
- Establish Site Control Program that limits the risk of exposure for the workers working in the hazardous zone
- Accentuate the importance of personal protective equipment to limit hazardous exposure.
- Implement procedures to treat workers in the event of the hazardous exposure.
