Q: Who is covered by OSHA's HAZWOPER standard?A: OSHA's HAZWOPER standard covers five specific areas of operations:
- Clean-up operations conducted at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites
- Corrective actions involving clean-up operations at places covered by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 (RCRA) as amended (42 U.S.C. 6901 et seq.);
- Voluntary clean-up operations at sites recognized as uncontrolled hazardous waste sites by state, federal, local, or other governmental body
- Operations that involve hazardous wastes conducted at storage, treatment and disposal facilities as regulated by Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 264 and 265 pursuant to RCRA, or by agencies under U.S. Environmental Protection Agency agreement to implement RCRA regulations and finally
- Emergency response operations for the releases of, or substantial threats of releases of, hazardous substances regardless where the location is.

A: Definitely it is. Employees need to refresh their awareness and understand the updated tactics of the safety handling procedures. It will keep you updated and safe.
Q: How do I know I need the HAZWOPER safety training course?
A: The HAZWOPER safety training is applicable for five groups of employers and their employees. People who are expose (or potentially) to the hazardous substances need this HAZWOPER courses. If you belong to any of the five operations as mention above then, you may need the OSHA HAZWOPER training courses.
Q: What must I do to get the certification?
A: You must complete the entire HAZWOPER safety training course to get the HAZWOPER completion certificate.
